Nadia Mejia is 25 years old and is the ultimate California girl, literally, she was Miss California. Nadia is one of the original Bali Body babes and a long time lover of our products. Here’s Nadia... Can you please give us a brief outline of how you got where you are professionally? I am a full time model – I was scouted at 15 years old and 10 years later, I am still able to make a living from it. I am venturing into the music industry though so stay tuned... What is your favourite Bali Body product to use and why? Oh gosh that’s tough…probably the 1 Hour Express Self Tan because I am all about instant gratification and the fact that I can become a golden goddess is one hour is freakin’ awesome. What is your favourite thing about your job? For modelling, I love meeting amazing teams that end up becoming like family. For singing, I get to live out my dream of being a Latina spice girl which is epic. For “Influencing” I love that I have a platform and audience to share what I am passionate about and hopefully spread a little light in the world. Your motivational quote is? You are worthy as you are. Break free of comparison and love the skin you're in. What does a ‘treat yourself’ moment look like to you? I have an odd obsession with sour gummy candy so I picture myself laying on the couch, watching “10 Things I Hate About You” surrounded by sour patch kids and sour worms. How would you describe your approach to beauty? Less is more. My style/makeup/hair is always going for the “effortless” beauty look. But when it comes to internal beauty, I always say, let your heart shine brighter than your highlighter. There’s nothing more beautiful than a big heart. What is your go-to self tan hack? EXFOLIATE. People expect their tan to last long when their skin isn’t prepped and sorry sis, that ain’t going to happen! Shave and exfoliate before you apply any tanner and watch how much longer it stays on. It also helps that Bali Body has such an amazing long lasting formula. What has been the biggest ‘pinch yourself moment’ in your career to date? I actually just had it! I booked a Guess campaign and walked into a store and saw my photos plastered everywhere. Guess was always a dream client of mine since I started modelling, so to watch this dream come to life felt so surreal. What are you looking most forward to this year? I am newly engaged so I am really excited to start planning my dream wedding. Describe yourself in 1 word. Compassionate. What product can you not live without?
